Congressman Kildee celebrates 'March is Reading Month'
With Tuesday's primary election out of the way, a local lawmaker turned his focus to a younger audience on Wednesday. Congressman Dan Kildee helped celebrate 'March is Reading Month' with hundreds of kids at the Richfield Early Learning Center in Genesee Township. Kildee read a pair of books and answered questions from the Pre-K through second grade students. Several of those questions were about the presidential race, which Kildee says has been interesting so far. "The battle continues, Secretary Clinton and Bernie Sanders scored about the same number of delegates, Secretary Clinton might end up with a few more actually. But the battle moves on to the next state. And this is what democracy is about, I think it's really important that people get their voices heard and we'll see how it turns out," he said. Kildee is a Super Delegate for Michigan and says he's supporting Clinton with his vote.
