Congressman Dan Kildee on Congress’ Flint Water Crisis Investigation

January 18, 2017

Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) issued the following statement today regarding Congress' investigation of the Flint water crisis:

"The Flint water crisis is not over. Flint families deserve not just resources to help them recover, but also justice in the form of holding those who did this to Flint accountable.

"It is wrong that Congress' investigation into the water crisis was prematurely closed by Chairman Chaffetz, especially when Governor Snyder and state officials, who created the water crisis, have not been transparent with Flint families. To this day, the Governor and the state continue to withhold important documents and refuse to comply with interview requests by the committee. It's long past time for the Governor and state officials to stop obstructing the facts from getting out."
