Congressman Dan Kildee on the Passing of Lenore Croudy

Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) issued the following statement today after learning of the death of Flint community leader Lenore Croudy:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Lenore Croudy. Lenore was a passionate and devoted community leader and Flint will miss her dearly.

“Lenore dedicated herself to ensuring that every child had an equal opportunity to get a good education. She was driven to help others, particularly young people, as an educator in the Flint Community Schools and then as a long-time Trustee serving Mott Community College, where she served for over two decades. Lenore also created the Youth Leadership Institute, which focused on giving African-American students in the Flint community opportunities to become community leaders. Our community is better off because of Lenore’s work.

“Jennifer and I extend our condolences to Lenore’s family during this difficult time.”
