Congressman Kildee Announces Mobile Office Hours at UAW Hall in Flint

Rep. Kildee’s Office Available to Assist Workers with Income, Housing and Food Assistance

FLINT—Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, today announced expanded mobile office hours in Flint next week to help constituents who may need assistance with federal and state assistance programs. Last week, it was announced that a lack of semiconductors will temporarily shut down the General Motors Flint Assembly plant.

Congressman Kildee’s office will hold mobile office hours at the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 598 Hall in Flint and be joined by Michigan Works! as well staff from the offices of State Representatives Cherry and Sneller to help constituents with issues regarding economic impact payments, Child Tax Credit monthly payments, federal and state pandemic unemployment insurance, rental assistance, Social Security benefits or other federal and state programs.

“My office is available to help constituents who need help with unemployment, housing or food assistance,” Congressman Kildee said.

In Congress, Kildee is leading efforts to protect local automotive jobs by investing $2 billion in domestic production of semiconductors.
