Statement by Congressman Dan Kildee on the Passing of Judge Raymond Pianka

Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) issued the following statement today after learning of the death of Cleveland Judge Raymond Pianka:

“Ray was a dear friend and I join the community, his family and colleagues in mourning his death. “Ray loved Cleveland. He was deeply involved in housing policy and understood that strong neighborhoods create vibrant communities where families can live, work and raise a family. Ray used his time on the city council and as Housing Court Judge to make meaningful change in the lives of others. He was an early advocate and strong voice for breathing life into forgotten neighborhoods in both Cuyahoga County as well as other communities across the nation.

“Jennifer and I extend our condolences to Ray’s family during this difficult time.”
