FLINT—Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, today announced three federal grants to help reduce crime, support law enforcement and promote public safety in mid-Michigan.
The three federal grants total $266,312 and include the following:
"We have known for many years that harmful PFAS chemicals pose a serious health risk to Americans are present in every community across the country. For far too long, the federal government has failed to take the threat of PFAS chemicals seriously.
"The Kildee family is deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Dale.
"First and foremost, Dale was family. Born into a large Catholic family that cherished our Irish heritage, Dale was an incredible uncle and role model. Later, as I followed in his footsteps into a life of public service, Dale became a political mentor to me.
"Raising the debt limit ensures America can meet its existing obligations, including a $7.8 trillion bill left behind by the former president.
"On Indigenous Peoples' Day, let us celebrate the rich history, culture and contributions of the Indigenous peoples of the Americas.

HOWELL—Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, today thanked President Joe Biden for endorsing his legislation in Congress to expand the existing consumer tax credit for electric vehicles and add incentives for vehicles made with union labor.
