Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), along with Lifetime, hosted a viewing of “Flint,” the new Lifetime original movie, and a panel discussion about the ongoing Flint water crisis, tonight in Washington D.C.
Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) issued the following statement in support of Congressman Elijah E.
“By failing to certify the Iran nuclear agreement, President Trump is rejecting the advice of his top defense and diplomatic advisors and putting America’s national security at risk by opening up the possibility of a nuclear-armed Iran.
“President Trump's actions are pushing health insurance premiums higher in Michigan. By ending cost-sharing payments that help to lower premiums for Michigan families, the President is actively undermining our health care system and causing instability in the marketplace.
“Either Governor Snyder or one of his top aides is not telling the truth. The people of Flint have lost faith in their government because of this crisis. The only way we can begin to restore their trust is by getting to the truth.
“I have spoken to Ranking Member Cummings and received his assurance that the committee would continue to pursue answers and get to the truth.”
